RE-PRESENT YOURSELF: CONNECT & LISTEN
(Fundamentals Course For All Performers)
Through a series of performance techniques and practices, rooted in Meisner, Stanislavski and others, this workshop will demystify what it means to be connected and in the moment. To connect with others, we must first connect with ourselves. This principle applies to all performers, but it can be especially challenging for underrepresented individuals who struggle with shame and internalized discrimination. At Re-resent Studios, we believe in unearthing and confronting these obstacles in order to fully embrace our authentic selves. Only by connecting to ourselves can we bring any truth to any story or narrative and connect with an audience.
This workshop is open to all adult performers (18 years old +).
